This event is to provide Local Leaders of Maths Education with the opportunity to explore some of the latest national and local developments in Maths education.
It will a great forum for colleagues to meet and network with other Local Leaders of Mathematics, and to develop further understanding of the changing landscape of Mathematics education.
Keynote talk “Improving Maths in Key Stages 2 and 3: the latest guidance from the EEF” from Pete Henderson, Programme Manager with EEF.
The day will also contain a combination of workshops and speakers, based around topics, to include :
– Recruitment of Maths Teachers in the region
– Changes in Support for Level 3 Mathematics
– The Expansion of the Teaching for Mastery Programmes in Primary and Secondary
This is a free event, aimed at leaders of mathematics education who are working beyond their own institution, for example, Maths SLEs, registered NCETM accredited PD Leads, MAsT, Maths Hub Work Group leaders, Local Authority Advisors, CPD Standard Holders, University Lecturers, Mathematics Consultants.
This event has been planned collaboratively between Archimedes Maths Hub, Great North Maths Hub and Shotton Hall Research School.
Parking is available on site, and lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
